Today was one of those amazing lazy days, I've been longing for, for some time now. Normally I get up very early and run around all day long. Don't get me wrong, I love to be busy, to make lists, to cross things of those lists and so on. But every once in a while, I find myself craving a little piece. Well, today was one of those days. Spent most of day shopping, having breakfast/brunch/lunch with my girls, whom I haven't seen in ages at our favorite little cafe and doing research for possible places to visit during my up-coming vacation. 

I am really excited because my family is coming to visit me from Canada, and we are going to spend my time off together. I may have mentioned before, I only get to see them once or twice a year, so I take great care planning our activities, as I want everything to be just perfect when they come here. Right now, I have my eye on Santa Barbara, so if anyone knows must-see places there, I appreciate your advice!

POCKETS FULL OF SUNSHINE

Dresses with pockets are my personal weakness. I think, cute side pockets on a lace dress put a relaxed twist on an otherwise very dressy item. Emil and I celebrated five years together on Wednesday by going to one of our favorite restaurants in Malibu. Since the place is pretty casual, I didn't want to look overdressed. So, I chose this dress, a pair of ikat print heels and fabulous pair of sunglasses to completely the look. Fun, girly and pretty - a perfect look for a perfect night:)

Running away from the scorching hot LA temperatures, Emil and I find ourselves spending more and more time in Malibu. Not that we ever need an excuse to visit our favorite part of LA:) Usually 10-15 degrees cooler than the rest of the city, we love the fresh ocean air, a variety of cute little shops and of course a great selection of fantastic seafood restaurants. Ok, so maybe I like the shops a little more than Emil does:) 

Yesterday, we had dinner plans to check out a new restaurant in Malibu, located right on the beach. Well, new to us, anyway. I thought this was a perfect opportunity to wear my new ikat print heels. How amazing is the red ankle strap? Simply can't get over how cute they are, completely classic combo of black and red in the front and ikat drama in the back:) Love from the first sight!:)
