70s FLAIR

Funny, as much as I talk about how much I love wearing something new, if I had to be really honest, I'd say that in many ways, wearing my tried and true favorites is what I love the most. In fact, most of the prized pieces I have in my closet, the ones I really enjoy putting on every time without exception have been with me for years. Like old friends you can always rely on, I can count on them to make an outfit and make me feel great while I wear them every time.

Well, today's outfit just happens to feature some of these pieces. I picked up this suede trench coat just before Paris Fashion Week, and haven't stopped wearing it since. Aside from the fact that I love trench coats in general, this particular one is basically a perfect combination of all the elements one could look for in a trench coat. Not afraid of using the word "perfect" too much when referring to this particular piece, everything about it is just, well... perfect from material and color to length and fit. I've worn it a million times, in a million ways, and I've yet to find something it doesn't work with, and of course you know how important versatility is to me.

The same logic applies to this Chloe bag. I honestly marvel at it's ability to make and complete outfits! Like magic, it has the most astonishing power to transform the most simplest of looks into polished outfits and add a perfect ( there I go using the word "perfect" again, but I struggle to describe it in any other way ) touch of drama! Basically there isn't a slouchy jean, plain t-shirt combo in the world this bag couldn't elevate to a guaranteed fabulousness of the highest degree:) And of course being a big fan of both, slouchy jeans and simple t-shirts, I truly appreciate this little super power!

What about you guys? Which do you prefer, new or tried and tested favorites?

INTO THE BLUE

For the most part, I don't have allegiances to specific labels. I like a little bit of everything and my obsessions often vary from season to season. That is with one major exception! That exception is of course Isabel Marant. As of right now, I've loved every single piece from every collection since I've discovered the brand some years ago. Cool, chic, a little edgy and a little bohemian, if I had to wear nothing but Isabel Marant for the rest of my life, I'd be a happy girl indeed!:)

What about you guys, do you have a digester you're completely obsessed with?

CASUAL SATURDAY

I've been working hard on expending my collection of cozy knits this season, and this gorgeous Anine Bing chunky cardigan is my latest score! :) Perfect in every way, from color to understated pattern, I just love the way it fits! When it comes to knits, it's hard sometimes to find that balance between way too fitted and clearly too slouchy, but this one definitive nails that perfectly oversized look! So good with skinny jeans or leather pants, I also love pairing it with dresses and ankle boots for that cute, nonchalant day time look. Basically, the possibilities of wearing it are endless and of course you know how much I love that!:)

LACE UP LOVE

I've been practically living in this lace-up corduroy dress! So comfy and easy, it's became my unofficial off-duty uniform as of lately:) Love absolutely everything about it, from the casual silhouette, to lace up detailing and side pockets! You know me, those happen to be my particular weakness! So good with flats, also love the way it pairs with slouchy flat or over-the-knee boots! For today's look, I went with all black accessories and added just a few gold touches. But if you happen to love color, which I usually do when I'm not going through one of my all-black moments:), it pairs just as well with jewel tones, especially burgundy and emerald! Though to be completely honest with you, I am yet to find something this dress doesn't look good with, and in my book, that is always a good thing!

ISABEL MARANT LOVE

My obsession with all things Isabel Marant started some time ago, and seems to be escalating with each passing year! This season in particular, I am completely and utterly in love with each and every piece from her fall/winter collection. From cozy knits and outwear to perfectly tailored bottoms and edgy accessories, I want it all! No exceptions:)! These amazing high-waisted button front shorts were my first splurge of the season. So good with a tucked-in blouse, yet equally relevant with a tailored knit or a cropped leather jacket. Hate to bring up the word versatility again, since I talk about it so much, but I feel I must since they go from day to night in such an effortless manner:) Hope you forgive me:)!

RETRO RED

Good morning, everyone! Hope you're all enjoying your weekend! I wanted to say a quick hello and share a few images of the raddest ruffled number I wore to Paul & Joe's Spring 16 show during Paris Fashion Week. As far as red dressed go, this is probably one of my favorite ones ever! Love the light-as-air fabric, the ruffles, the moment and a slight retro vibe! In short, completely and totally obsessed with everything about it! But considering what a perfect combination of everything I've just listed above it really is, can you really blame me?:)

PATCHWORK IN PARIS

Of all the outwear trends coming in for fall 2015, capes are definitely my favorite! Cozy and comfortable, yet oh-so-very chic and pulled together! This particular patchwork one from Chloe I wore during Paris Fashion Week is my current obsession! Love the statement-making retro color combination and the asymmetric hem which tends to drape in the most beautiful of ways! But as is with most pieces I tend to obsess about, what I adore about it the most is versatility! Obviously a bit partial to the way it pairs with floor-length flare jeans, I find that it looks equally stunning worn with a black turtleneck, skinny jeans and ankle boots or over-the-knee boots. In any case, the possibilities of wearing it are essentially endless and of course knowing me, you know how much I love that!
